iGaming Daily, supported by Optimove was back on the road for the latest episode of the show.
In the first half, Fernando Noodt and Lucía Gando from the SBC Noticias team, as well as Lucía Mouriño, SBC’s VP of Relationships LatAm, joined live from SBC Summit Latinoamérica in Miami.
The trio look ahead to what is happening at the conference, including some of the panels they are looking forward to attending and taking part in.
Fernando said: “We have a lot of important sessions during the event and I’m happy to be part of one of them which is World Cup 2026 pre: what did we learn from Copa America 2024? Of course, there’s a lot of football going on right now in the US. The Copa America was there and we have the upcoming World Cup, which will also be in Canada and Mexico.
“I will be with Ignacio Iturraspe, Director of Sales, Latam at Stats Perform, and Tomasch Devenishek, CEO of Keto Sports, talking about lessons [from] those tournaments that have already happened in the US and how the betting market has behaved around the Copa America 2024 ahead of the World Cup in 2026, but also the Club World Cup in 2025.”
A series of roundtables on markets such as Brazil, Chile, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Colombia will also take place at the summit.
“We have experts from each market who will be able to help us with the roundtables to talk about what’s going on with regulations, with payments, with sponsorships and people can go there and have informal talks so that’s good to know a little bit deeper each market,” explained Gando.
Fernando added that the roundtables allow attendees to ask specific questions to an “expert in the market”, which is why they are in demand for people.
After a short break, Ted Orme Claye, Editor of Insider Sport, took over from Monaco where he has been attending the Sportel Monaco sports business conference alongside a “who’s who of people involved in sports tech and sports innovation”.
On his time at the event, Ted said: “It’s been a really interesting event so far across the sports tech space. We hit the ground running with a big panel about sports sponsorship with some representatives of FIFA and the company that is handling the commercial side of the Italian Winter Olympics and Paralympics.
“There was also a very interesting speech from the managing director of the Professional Fighter League talking about its ambitions for co-leadership in MMA alongside the UFC.”
