More than 3000 delegates will gather at SBC Summit Latinoamérica to engage in discussions about the most current regional sports betting trends, innovative products, services, and technologies.
The dedicated ‘Sports Betting Product‘ conference track, scheduled to commence on Wednesday, November 1st, will mark the opening of Latin America’s premier iGaming and sports betting event, taking place at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Miami.
The track will revolve around several key topics within the sports betting industry, one significant area of focus will be exploring how operators can effectively tackle the technological complexities associated with live-streaming games. Another crucial theme to be addressed is the impact that both local and international sports teams have on the supply and demand of sports betting products and services.
Furthermore, the track will shed light on the wealth of opportunities that newly regulated and soon-to-be regulated markets such as Puerto Rico and Brazil offer to operators.
Rasmus Sojmark, CEO & Founder of SBC, said: “The Latinoamérica region is currently undergoing a transformative phase of evolution and expansion, which presents a multitude of complexities for operators looking to enter these thriving markets.
“This is why we are extremely proud to have such a far-reaching scope of topics in our conference agenda, equipping attendees with the essential knowledge and strategic thinking necessary to navigate these markets seamlessly.”
Opening the conference track is the panel, ‘Sports Betting In Brazil: A Sleeping Giant Awakens.’ With sports betting in Brazil projected to generate $1.1bn USD in 2023 alone, the panel will explore the enormous wealth of opportunities the soon-to-be-regulated Brazilian market holds for local and international operators, and the wider industry.
The panel will feature industry experts Alexandre Fonseca (Country Manager Brazil, Kaizen Gaming), Andre Gelfi (President Brazilian Institute of Responsible Gaming), and Florencia Brancato (Global Head of Markets, Pinnacle), as they further discuss the innovations in customer experience, marketing, and technology that may emerge from the region and its impact on the global industry.
Another highlight of the conference track includes the panel, ‘Puerto Rico: One Year Later,’ which will discuss the Puerto Rican sports betting landscape and its development, one year after land-based sports betting was regulated.
Panelists Jaime Rivera-Emmanuelli (Executive Director, Puerto Rico Gaming Commission), Ismael Vega (General Manager, Casino Sheraton), Carlos Infante (Partner, Estrella LLC), and panel moderator Jose Carlos Figueroa (Caribbean Regional Manager, GLI), will explore whether major sporting events such as the NCAA and World Baseball Classic, have lead to an uptake in sports betting and increased revenue in the region, as well as look to the future development of Puerto Rican gaming, both in terms of land-based sportsbooks and the possible regulation of iGaming.
The panel ‘Beyond Football – Investing In Other Sports,’ will discuss the firm grip football has on Latin American regions and whether other sports can succeed in the same markets.
Industry experts Camilo Millon (Sales Director, Kambi) and Eduardo Pelaez (Head of Product, Logrand Entertainment), will look to regions such as Mexico and their success promoting baseball and basketball, discuss whether these sports have potential in other regions, and explore what sports qualify as a potential opportunity for operators.
Other educational conference tracks available throughout the summit will be centered around Leaders, Affiliates & Advertising, Emerging Markets & Technology, Sports Teams & Media, Player Protection, and Payments & Compliance.
