The Responsible Gambling Council (RGC) has launched House of Wisdoms (HOW): a digital web-based educational experience with GAME BRAiN to raise awareness among teens about the risks of gambling.

House of Wisdoms is a single player, quick-to-play digital game that helps teens become aware of the risks of gambling.

The game features multiple mini-games/rounds with highly visual, whimsical characters and safety messages about gambling losses, signs of a gambling problem, realities/misconceptions about gambling, and help resources.

For the past six years, GAME BRAiN live, an interactive game show designed to educate and engage secondary school students on the risks of youth gambling, has toured Ontario high schools,  performing live shows for 50,000 students, while making teens aware of the risks of gambling.

The programme is offered free of charge to Ontario high schools thanks to funding by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care. GAME BRAiN looks at the realities of gambling, signs of a gambling problem, how to avoid the risks and where to get help, if needed.

Research studies show that 18-24-year-olds are two to four times more likely to develop a gambling problem than an adult. Through three brain-stimulating games, House of Wisdoms invites the player to learn about the risks of gambling, how to avoid the risks and where to get help if need be.

By the time teens reach the age of 18, they have a greater chance of developing a gambling problem than an adult.

House of Wisdoms features three fun and challenging games to make teens aware of what you can lose if you gamble, signs of a gambling problem, the myths about gambling and where to get help.
