As anticipation builds for the 2022 Greyhound Derby, Star Sports paid a visit to Richard Rees and the Rees Kennels, which has a plethora of contenders for the crown this year.
Rees gave a brief rundown of his contenders for the Derby, opening up the video by underlining the chances of Burnchurch Mick.
He comes into the competition in stellar form, having earnt victory in his last five races, which include the Winter Derby and a win at Towcester.
Rees emphasised his optimism for the run, as he stated that “If he gets the lead it will take a good one to beat him”, adding that it has always been the aim for him to compete in a final.
Also up for the Rees family is Hilight Arkle, a dog that has looked immensely impressive in comeback trials, according to Rees.
Amaze Me More will be looking to recapture some of the form he has produced in Ireland, as he seeks to land glory in one of the biggest greyhound meetings of the year.
Stellar form is something the whole yard has produced as it heads into the Derby, with Amaze Me Seb and What’s Up Eva also having positive spells before the big event in 2022.
