US giants MGM and Caesars both suffered cyber attacks recently, with MGM being taken offline after the attack, reportedly from hacking group Scattered Spider, impacted everything from the customer website to the gaming floor to the electronic room key system to corporate emails.
Caesars on the other hand, suffered an attack of their own by the more financially-motivated ALPHV, which may have led to social security numbers being compromised.
While both are back online, as a result of the attacks, both are facing multiple lawsuits due to the breaches that occurred.
