Gaming regulations are constantly changing and although this is a challenge for the industry, it can also be an “opportunity for growth” according to Atlaslive’s Chief Operating Officer, Lidia Vakulenko.
Speaking to Joe Streeter, Editor of CasinoBeats, Vakulenko said: “We see regulation as a challenge, but it’s also an opportunity to grow and to advance our product to the level where everybody will feel safe and will enjoy the product itself and the ecosystem of this market.
“We have a big security team and risk management team for all our products and everybody is doing operations 24/7 to monitor and advance the tools that help to protect the fair players and remove [the bad actors] that are trying to get a benefit from it.”
Also present during the interview was Lasha Kupatadze, Chief Product Officer at Atlaslive, and he further expanded on how the company can customise its offering to remain compliant with regulation through the use of “modular architecture”.
He said: “Modular architecture gives us stability, speed and agility. We also use microservices to adapt to every type of environment and every type of market.
“We make sure our data is protected and we make sure that our [know your customer] processes are in place. We also make sure that we comply with any type of new regulations that are upcoming so our legal departments are always checking to see what is coming up.
“We can quickly adapt to whatever [regulators] throw at us or whatever clients want to change or update.”
Additionally, Kupatadze stressed the importance of clarity in regulation so that the company is able to “adapt and innovate” with regulators.
During the interview, filmed at SBC Summit Lisbon, Vakulenko also recapped the development of Atlaslive’s sportsbook platform and the focus it has put on the needs of the end user.
“The last two years we have been focused on product and technological advancements,” she explained. “When we are developing our product we try to focus not on the operator and its needs, built on the end user and we do all our technological advancements to make sure the player not only comes to the platform, but stays on the platform.
“Players right now are becoming very smart and they see sportsbooks as a way to earn money, not just play around, so they are educated. They know the market, they know the events and they know the sports themselves that they’re betting on.
“So, at this point, we need to be at the same level as our players already are and provide them with the best possible experience to enhance their knowledge of sports betting.”
