FanDuel TV has introduced The Comeback With Craig Carton, a new series dedicated to problem gambling recovery.
Hosted by Craig Carton, a sports personality and FanDuel’s responsible gaming ambassador, the show aims to share personal stories of gambling addiction, reduce stigma, and highlight recovery resources.
Carton, who has experienced gambling addiction firsthand, is committed to offering support and raising awareness. The first episode features former NBA player Randy Livingston, who shares his journey from addiction to recovery. His wife, Anita Ondine Smith, also discusses the struggles of being a spouse of a problem gambler and how they rebuilt their marriage.
FanDuel’s Senior VP of Public Policy and Sustainability, Cory Fox, emphasises the importance of fostering conversations about gambling risks. The show will explore topics such as financial management, self-exclusion, and responsible gaming tools.
“Our hope for The Comeback With Craig Carton is to raise awareness of problem gambling and foster open dialogue to tackle the stigma that still exists today,” said Fox. “Whether those conversations are amongst friends, spouses, parents or coaches, we want to educate our audience on what the warning signs are and be comfortable asking for help.”
New episodes air monthly on FanDuel TV Extra and YouTube. Carton, who became FanDuel’s first national responsible gaming ambassador in 2021, continues his advocacy through initiatives like the Responsible Gaming College Tour.
