Boyd Gaming will open a new 50,000-square-foot casino, Cadence Crossing, in Henderson in March 2026, replacing Joker’s Wild on Boulder Highway.

Construction will take place in the current Joker’s Wild parking lot. The existing property will remain open until shortly before launch, limiting disruption and protecting cash flow.

The project was discussed on the Miles to Memories Vegas podcast following Boyd’s latest earnings call. The strategy is clear: target the fast-growing Cadence master-planned community while retaining Boulder Highway’s core customer base.

Cadence Crossing will open as a smaller locals-focused casino, but Boyd confirmed it holds additional land for future expansion. Management signalled that the site can scale in line with demand, positioning the development as a phased, long-term asset rather than a single-stage build.
