LiveScore Group has called up Bulgarian football icon Dimitar Berbatov as its Official European Brand Ambassador.
Berbatov, who had spells with Premier League sides Fulham, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United during his career, will feature in campaigns, content and media throughout LiveScore Group’s sports ecosystem, including across the LiveScore Media and LiveScore Bet brands.
“This partnership underscores our commitment to enhancing the experiences of football fans worldwide, through drawing on the expertise of Berbatov,” stated LiveScore.
“We’re really excited to partner with one of the Premier League greats.”
As well as announcing the signing of Berbatov, LiveScore also confirmed that its sportsbook, LiveScore Bet, has launched in Bulgaria today (3 February).
This expands the footprint of the brand, which is also live in the UK, Ireland and Nigeria.
Memorable Matches
Berbatov, known for having one of the best first touches in world football, has already appeared in content across the company’s social channels, including in an attempt to teach an amateur player how to master the ‘first touch, turn and finish’.
In another video, the two-time Premier League winner also looked back on some of the most memorable moments from his over 500-game career.
This included Bayer Leverkusen’s win over Liverpool in their memorable run to the 2002 Champions League Final, Tottenham Hotspur’s League Cup victory in 2007/8 and the time he scored five goals for Manchester United in a 7-1 win over Blackburn Rovers.
Reflecting on his goal in Leverkusen’s 4-2 victory, Berbatov said: “It gave us the hope and belief that we [could] do something. I remember scoring and everybody was on top of me and it’s that feeling when you score a goal that you feel on top of the world.”
