What is being said?

Moisley explained: “It’s been a whirlwind five months and a very busy time. It’s a very wide-ranging job that covers all aspects of the commercial activity within the organisation and the sport. There’s slight frustration obviously with the restrictions from COVID and some of the work that we’ve planned has been on hold but hopefully that can be released over the next few weeks with crowds coming back in.

“It has enabled us to concentrate on other areas which has been good. One of the key things is the money coming into the sport through the bookmakers. We’ve looked at that and looked at the ones that weren’t paying into the Levy. We’ve worked with the BGRF and they’ve had some great success over the last three or four months in signing up some key players into the Levy that weren’t there previously, such as the Tote, BetVictor, Betway, Virgin and Mansionbet.”

He continued: “Part of my role is building relationships both with the new people paying into the Levy and with the existing ones so that we can really capitalise on the opportunity that gives us because it’s alright for them paying into the Levy but what we want to see is some additional funding coming through in terms of sponsorship. So, we’ve had some really good conversations recently, particularly with online betting companies that haven’t lost any business because of having to close retail shops and have actually been quite successful.”
