Following the start of the NFL season, The Ross Tucker Football Podcast, presented by DraftKings, returned as the host revealed he had three major takeaways from an action-packed opening weekend.
The first was that even though things aren’t entirely normal, the opening weekend of the NFL felt and looked ‘normal’, adding that seeing big crowds flocking back to football and enjoying games was more than welcome.
He went on to detail that the addition of the crowd adds energy to the players on the pitch.
The performances of the away teams was also surprising for Tucker, as he emphasised that he felt the return of home fans and packed stadiums would have a bigger impact on the performances of home sides.
The final key takeaway for Tucker revolved around the aggression of teams and their attacking play, something he said could grow even further as coaches develop a deeper understanding of how the game is evolving.
Tucker continued by revealing he thinks that a younger generation of coaches is also increasing the aggressiveness of tactics being witnessed in the league.
The podcast then went on to analyse each clash from the opening weekend, as they revelled in having the NFL return to screens and fans back in the stadiums.
