FSB CEO Dave McDowell has been named in Global Gaming Business Magazine’s annual ‘25 People to Watch’ list for 2021, having been recognised for his potential impact on the gaming world in the year ahead.
Others on the list include President and CEO of MGM Resorts International, Bill Hornbuckle and Erika Nardini, CEO of Barstool Sports.
McDowell attributed his success to the people of his company, stating: “To be in the Global Gaming ‘25 to Watch’ list is an incredible achievement and on the one hand I think it’s fantastic recognition. I’ve been in the online gaming industry for 20 years.
“I’ve managed to surround myself both at the investment level, the board level but also the operating team and throughout the organisation with just some absolutely fantastically talented people. I think this is really FSB being in the top 25 to watch; it’s certainly a team effort.”
The sports betting and iGaming technology supplier has had a successful year as earlier this month they claimed the award for ‘Industry Innovation of the Year’ at the SBC Awards 2020.
FSB has shared further news having been granted Gaming Laboratories International GLI 33 certification for its sports betting platform, ahead of its impending US debut.
The company completed pre-compliance testing of its products and services against GLI 33 event wagering systems standards, ensuring that platform providers are meeting the highest possible integrity standards and will help to expedite the approval process in each region that the firm enters. McDowell stated that this new ‘milestone’ for the company ‘points to an exciting 2021’.
Additionally, earlier this month, FSB appointed Ian Freeman as Chief Revenue Officer, making him responsible for creating and deploying business critical strategies and developing its sales and business development teams.
