PlayOJO, who have a major product licensing partnership with ‘The Masked Singer UK’, have put on their own virtual talent competition to find the UK’s Best Amateur Singer hosted by The Only Way Is Essex’s Jess Wright.

On her social channels two weeks ago, Wright announced the competition and asked the public to share videos of themselves singing their favourite songs for a chance to join her and sing to the nation. 

From this five contestants were picked out from across the country who submitted their clips starred in the livestream event.

Taking inspiration from The Masked Singer, contestants were encouraged to dress in their craziest costumes, adding some theatrics to the evening’s entertainment, which was live Streamed via the PlayOJO YouTube page.

Wright commented: “Firstly I want to thank everyone for entering and sharing your incredible videos, so many of you are just amazing and we are humbled by the response.” 

Carly Cunningham from Sunbury on Thames was chosen as the winner which also saw her take home a professional karaoke kit, to hone her vocal skills.

Wright concluded the live stream stating: “Thank you so much to all of our finalists for being a part of tonight’s event and a huge congratulations to Carly for winning PlayOJO’s virtual sing along contest. Thank you as well to everyone who has tuned in from home, I hope you’ve had as much fun as me and our finalists.”

Coinciding with the return of ‘The Masked Singer UK’ on boxing day on ITV, PlayOJO launched a Masked Singer branded slot and exclusive Bingo room featuring characters from the show’s first series.
