What is being said?

When quizzed on the SIGA Youth Forum and why it is important to educate younger people on the issues that can arise with sports integrity, Simmonds said:  “I think the key lessons that I learnt was that young people are more conscious. They’re certainly holding more brands accountable.

“Young people are not often given the opportunity to speak up – there is always a hierarchy and we need to break that down. Just because we’re older, it doesn’t mean that we can hold on to that power. I really believe that we should be empowering the youth.”
