With the 28th of September 1996 etched into horse racing history as the date that Frankie Dettori went through the card at Ascot with seven winners from seven rides, Betfred is commemorating the 25th anniversary of what was a spectacular achievement.

The flurry of victories saw him capture an abundance of honors, including the prestigious Queen Elizabeth II Stakes – his ‘Magnificent Seven’, as he added to his already decorated CV.

In paying homage to the event, Betfred chief Fred Done and Gary Wiltshire looked back at the events of the amazing feat as they unfolded on the day – providing a unique insight into the dramatic story.

The show not only included interviews with Dettori, but also featured a decorated racing panel to analyse how he made history 25 years ago.
