As the race to become the next Tory leader intensifies following the latest round of TV debates, endured by the final five candidates, Star Sports took a closer look at what the market is suggesting. 

The firm’s BHA Press Office Graduate, Dan Kent, spoke to William Kedjanyi as the duo rightly predicted that Tom Tugendhat would depart the race on Monday, as we prepare to say goodbye to another candidate. 

Kedjanyi revealed that from a bookmaker perspective a Sunak victory would be the worst possible outcome as the former Chancellor has been heavily backed by political bettors. 

The candidates will be eliminated until MPs decide upon a final two, at which point the voting goes down to Tory party members, who, according to YouGov polls, are less favourable to a Sunak premiership.
