On the latest episode of iGaming Daily, SBC Managing Director Andy McCarron was joined by a very special guest, CEO and Founder of EPIC Risk Management, Paul Buck, to discuss an EPIC decade, 10 years of the revolutionary gambling harm prevention company.
Paul took Andy through 10 EPIC years, Paul’s own experiences with gambling addiction and how this led to the creation of EPIC Risk Management, their policy of hiring staff with lived experience of gambling harm and how this is at the heart of everything they do. Paul also discussed the first crucial deals with the Rugby Players Association, followed by the EFL, and how this led to EPIC being involved in almost every major sport in the UK and the US.
Paul and Andy went on to speak about first getting involved in working with the gambling industry itself, the taboo around approaching gambling addiction and harm inside the industry, taking EPIC around the world, the impact of the pandemic, and how they measure their success and impact.
