Hello and welcome to the SBC News 90, here’s today’s top stories:
GVC is to be rebranded as ‘Entain’, heralding what the gambling group calls a ‘new era of sustainability and conduct’.
Entain will have the headline objective of ensuring that all revenue is generated in nationally regulated markets within three years. GVC said that 99% of revenue is currently generated in regulated or soon-to-be regulated markets.
The group has also launched an ‘Advanced Responsibility & Care’ programme, deploying proprietary technology to boost player protection.
GambleAware has commissioned a new Gambling Support Service that will be rolled out by Citizens Advice Scotland.
The new service will offer training for debt advisers and other frontline workers, helping them to understand, prevent and reduce gambling-related harm among users.
Staff will gain access to a range of new tools to identify and support those in need, and to refer to specialist help where appropriate.
Operator 32Red is to reinvest in the men’s mental health programme, Team Talk, which is operated by the Derby County Community Trust.
The online casino company currently holds sponsorship agreements with three English Championship clubs, including Derby, as well as Scottish giant Rangers.
This reinvestment will enable the Team Talk project to maintain and increase its support hubs across Derby for another 12 months
That’s all for today, I’ll be back tomorrow for your next SBC News 90.
