Discussing the impact that slots have on the growth of Strendus Casino, Castillo emphasised: “It’s really, really important. Since we see the platform as a form of entertainment, not necessarily just betting and gaming, slots and casino are really relevant – they represent around 50 per cent of our business. The pandemic influenced that. 

“Once sports betting came to a halt, the casino and slots side of the business grew. We have a lot of customers who are from the land-based side, so we offer a lot of products as an extension of their experience. Slots and casino are therefore really relevant.

“Now that sports betting is making a return, one of the challenges is maintaining that growth we’ve seen in the last 12 months. Hopefully we can keep doing that.”
