Betsson shared an advertising campaign in conjunction with Boca Juniors players to raise awareness about responsible gambling.

Through a promotional ad, Edinson CavaniMiguel Merentiel and Lautaro Blanco call on users to “play responsibly, in a safe place, and only being of legal age”.

“Responsible gaming is a fundamental pillar of our business. We recognize that while gambling is a form of entertainment, it is not without risk. Our priority is to enable a fun and safe experience for all our customers,” said Andrea Rossi, Betsson’s Commercial Director for Latin America.

In addition, he stressed that the operator “offers continuous training to all its employees on responsible gambling”, and that the company has a specialized team dedicated to managing all aspects of responsible gaming practices, both internally and with customers.

To broaden the reach of the campaign, Betsson announced a varied approach, including social media initiatives, in-person activations and a broader media push.

Behind the campaign

Online gambling is at the center of the public agenda in Argentina, due to the externalities associated with the industry.

Although regulated operators have measures in place to prevent problematic consumption, about 80 percent of the volume of gambling passes through unlicensed platforms.

“By partnering with Boca Juniors and leveraging their influence, Betsson seeks to change consumer behavior towards legal and regulated platforms, by promoting a safer environment for gambling and at the same time fostering greater awareness of the protections offered by licensed operators,” the company said.

“This campaign underscores Betsson’s dedication to creating a sustainable and ethical gaming environment, reflecting its broader mission to act responsibly while enhancing the reputation of the industry in Argentina and beyond,” he added.
