Spanish gaming group Codere has renewed its media partnership with Spanish sports daily AS. The partnership sees the two companies continue to develop exclusive football content, despite the Spanish government enforcing new federal restrictions on betting advertising.
The partnership will be modified for its further season, altering the format of the Mister Underdog weekly broadcast to adhere to the new requirements.
For the remainder of the current La Liga season, Mister Underdog will feature no direct sponsorship messages of Codere products or markets, with the show focused entirely on football coverage, led by AS journalist Miguel Quintana.

Around 500 betting shops are expected to close their doors in Scotland from Friday evening, when a number of local authorities enter ‘Level Four’ coronavirus restrictions.
The measures will see all non-essential shops, pubs, restaurants and other hospitality venues in 11 areas forced to close until the 11th of December, as the government aims to suppress rising coronavirus cases.
However, Scotland’s First Minister Nicola Sturgeon confirmed that professional sports will continue.

Operator group GVC Holdings has reiterated its commitment to responsible operations after the company retained its position as a member of the Dow Jones ‘Sustainability Index for Europe.’
As the only European gambling group listed within the index, the recognition also reaffirms GVC’s pledge to implement its new Sustainability Charter, which was published on 12 November.
