What is being said?
Gouker remarked: “Matt King isn’t the most visible person on this, it’s not like he’s invisible but if you look at Jason Robins, he’s on TV all the time and is a forward-facing part of the brand. He started off as the CFO, he’s not a sports betting person so maybe that part of it makes sense in terms of him moving on.
“It is interesting and it will be really interesting to see who FanDuel takes on for this job, whether it’s someone in the US, someone in Europe with some experience, some internally at Flutter. It will be really interesting to see who gets this job.”
Brown added: “It’s got to be a super highly coveted gig. Is it going to be someone from the financial world? Is it going to be someone who has sports betting, iGaming or casino experience? Where do they draw from?
“Because it is an interesting evolving space, and I don’t think there is a perfect cookie-cutter candidate for this, because everything continues to ever evolve, especially when we say that the real long-term end goal of all this is actually the iCasino part, so do you want someone who is more focused on the casino side of things, so it will be really interesting to see who ends up taking this.”
Agreeing with Brown, Candee noted: “It’s the iCasino in the end, and if they are going to bring in someone with experience, there are far more people who have important experience with online casino than when it comes to sports betting, and that would probably be the smart way to go.”
