Charity GamCare called for wider awareness of ‘gambling-related financial harms’ as it launched a new financial toolkit across the UK to further support customers experiencing gambling-related harm.
Gamcare works with a diverse range of stakeholders to better identify problematic consumer behaviours, while improving support for those enduring financial hardships caused by gambling.
So far, the initiative has seen eight UK banks add ‘gambling block’ services to digital current accounts, enabling customers to block or restrict transactions with gambling operators.
