As another Premier League weekend looms, bettingexpert’s The Big Stage podcast reflected on an action-packed opening round of fixtures, as Rory Jennings revealed his belief that the ‘title race has already been blown wide open’.

The YouTube football pundit admitted the result caught him by surprise as he anticipated the champions getting past Spurs with relative ease – with the defeat amplifying the need for a striker.

He lauded the performance of Manchester United as they took apart Leeds United at Old Trafford and elevated their status as potential title challengers.

Looking ahead to this weekend’s action, Jennings picked Liverpool to take a big win against Burnley, as he underlined his belief that with Mohamed Salah firing on all cylinders, they’re a real threat for the title.

In what is arguably the tie of the weekend, Chelsea clash with Arsenal, in a collision between two sides that suffered contrasting fortunes on the opening weekend.

Furthermore, Thomas Tuchel’s side have been given the boost of signing Romelu Lukaku as the returning striker is tipped to make his debut against The Gunners.

After looking immensely fragile at the back in their opening day defeat against Brentford – Jenning emphasised he hopes that Lukaku can be the key man on Sunday and will be able make the difference against ‘a flimsy Arsenal defence’.

The bettingexpert community aligned with the prediction of Jennings, as they picked Lukaku to bag anytime as their punt for the game, which takes place on Sunday.
