Sean Molyneux and Simon Dyson came together for another episode of the Betfred Golf Show, as they looked ahead to the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth in Surrey.

The tournament holds elevated significance as it provides the final opportunity for players to impress Team Europe captain Padraig Harrington before he picks his three wildcards for the Ryder Cup.

Looking back on his player of the year for the PGA, Dyson lauded the performances of Jon Rahm – with the Spaniard having an immensely successful year.

He also praised the US talisman Patrick Cantlay, as anticipation ramps up ahead of the Ryder Cup.

Dyson struggled to hide his excitement for the upcoming BMW PGA Championship, which sets the scene beautifully for the upcoming Ryder Cup and the potential of Team Europe.

‘It really puts emphasis on good ball striking’, he exclaimed as he underlined just how much he loved the course as a player.

The pair agreed there are big decisions to make this week for Harrington as Team Europe begins to take shape.

Looking at what makes the decision so tough, Dyson highlighted the need to pick players with strong form heading into the tournament.

Looking ahead to this week’s tournament, the duo then analysed who they feel will be the runners and riders of the competition, placing a heightened focus on players that are vying for a spot in the Ryder Cup side.
