As part of William Hill’s three of the best series, pundit and former Manchester United midfielder Robbie Savage spoke to presenter Emma Jones about some of the key topics from the world of football.
The Welshman underlined his belief that the pressure is well and truly mounting for the man at the helm at Old Trafford, with there being a real expectancy on Ole Gunnar Solskjær to capture a major trophy this season.
Solskjaer’s side have made a strong start to the Premier League season, edging past Wolves and West Ham, and only dropping points to Southampton – however, the performances of both Chelsea and Liverpool indicate that United will need to improve if they are to mount a serious challenge for the title.
United also have work to do in Europe, after dropping a lead to suffer defeat in their opening group game against Young Boys.
Pressure significantly increased on United to achieve success this season after the return of Cristiano Ronaldo, with the Portuguese star already hitting the ground running and notching four goals in his opening three games.
Savage and Jones also discussed the current climate for Premier League managers, as pressure already intensifies on Steve Bruce after a tricky start to the campaign.
