The NBA season reaches midway point as All-Star weekend will happen in Cleveland, Ohio this weekend.
With NBA teams playing well over half their regular season games and after a hectic trade deadline day, FOXBet brought on sports betting experts Clay Travis and Cousin Sal to get their insight on which team will make it out of each conference and ultimately the team their picking to lift the Larry O’Brien trophy.
Travis and Sal both tipped the reigning champion Milwaukee Bucks to win the Eastern Conference at 3/1 with the Philadelphia 76ers sharing the same odds. The Nets are currently the bookmakers favourite to win the East at 9/4. The Miami Heat (6/1), Chicago Bulls (14/1) and Boston Celtics (20/1).
But there was a difference of opinion when it came to who would win the Western Conference. Neither Travis or Sal picked the 2/1 favourites Phoenix Suns instead, Travis sided with the Golden State Warriors (5/1) and Sal went with the Utah Jazz (5/1) for the best value.
The Los Angeles Lakers were comically laughed off by Travis who were at 7/1 to win the West. The Memphis Grizzlies and Denver Nuggets are 12/1 and 14/1 respectively.
There was also time for MVP talk and Travis picked a bold outside shout to win this year’s award.
