Betfred will become the first high-street bookmaker to “broadcast in full HD” through a new partnership with SIS.

In a “major upgrade” to its coverage, the UK-based operator’s in-house TV production hub will now broadcast from Media City UK, Salford and will now be available in HD.

“Our racing proposition will be even better as we become the first bookmaker on the high street to broadcast in full HD,” explained Mark Pearson, Head of Corporate Affairs and Communications at Betfred.

“We value our long-term partnership with SIS and this new agreement will continue to help bring our brand to life and communicate our unique offers to our customers.”

Betfred has a longstanding relationship with SIS as it continues to access its portfolio of 35,000 races from 170 venues annually. Additionally, Betfred customers will continue to retrieve greyhound racing from the UK and Ireland, comprising over 24,000 events annually.

According to SIS, the latest agreement will result in more broadcast flexibility for Betfred, with SIS also providing an in-house podcast studio.

Betfred will continue with its studio shows featuring its Founder and CEO, Fred Done.

“This agreement guarantees that Betfred’s UK retail customers will experience high-quality, engaging content in high-definition from around the world,” added Paul Witten, Managing Director EMEA at SIS.
