With the ever-growing US sports gambling market, regulation is critical in order for a secure and smooth system.

Director of Government Affairs at FanDuel, Andrew Winchell spoke to SBC at last years SBC Summit North America and delved into some predictions of what holds of the US market in 2022.

“I think you’re going to see a significant increase,” says Winchell.

“We’re already over 30 states that have legalised sports betting in some way. I think you’re maybe going to see another half dozen in the next 12 months move forward with it.

“I think you will see states that have moved forward only with retail sports betting. I think you will see interesting movements towards new forms of payments, new forms of wages that are allowed with new sports and constant innovation.”

According to NJ.com, Arkansas, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Dakota and Wisconsin are the only states left to have not legalised online sports betting.
