As Royal Ascot rumbles on, the Star Sports Zoom Room came together to discuss the runners and riders on Day Two, with City AM Racing editor Bill Esdaile backing 2/1 shot Twighlight Gleaming to achieve success in Wednesday’s opener.

Esdale also picked Quick Suzy as an outside that could well be hot on the heels of the favourite in the five-furlong battle.

Esdaile was joined by esteemed jockey and Star ambassador Silvestre De Sousa, who emphasised his excitement to ride second-favorite Dancing Queen in the Queen’s Vase at 15:05.

“He won his last four and has been running consistently, he has everything to have every chance in the race, I’m pleased for the ride and pleased Mark gave me the call,” stated De Sousa.

The headline race of Wednesday is the Prince of Wales stakes, and Esdaile was in no doubt that Love, ridden by Ryan Moore will go off at favourite.

He did however emphasise that ‘it’s a really tough betting race’, with it being such a small field, William Buick’s Audarya was a horse he also outlined had a strong chance, especially given its price.

De Sousa echoed the sentiment describing Love as ‘special’, in a race that will be ‘really tough’.

Building on the momentum of the festival, Star Sports also announced the opening of a new shop in Clapham High Street as British retail opens up again following the lockdown.
