Anna Vikmane, Director at BETER Live, discussed the launch of the company’s newest title, Gravity Blackjack, which was showcased at SBC Summit Barcelona.

The Director highlighted that the focus of the game is to attract a “new generation” of players who are seeking something different from the general blackjack.

“This game allows us to be appealing not just for casino players who know blackjack as a core game, but also for the new generation,” said Vikmane. “Players who are looking for something new, something with multipliers, something that brings more excitement and pops out. I’m really excited for the launch of the game.”

With an influx of blackjack games that offer a variety of high value multipliers, Vikmane believes that BETER has found the key to staying ahead of competition.

“We found a twist. Usually these multipliers are on standard bet. This time, we are putting the multipliers on the side bets, which will be really interesting for our operators because side bets have a higher margin than standard initial bets.

“With his game, we are engaging players to try to place the side bets as we are putting the multipliers, so that there are exciting moments. We are already seeing results with this new type of game. Compared to the standard blackjack, players are already placing more side bets.”

But how can an idea be conceived to change something that has retained the same principles for centuries? In other words, how can a grey old violin be “jazzed up” a little bit, as the SBC interviewer asked. According to Vikmane, you need a team of similar passion and attitude.

“We have gathered people together with attitude and passion about what they’re doing. Even our developers wanted to be part of this creative process. There were a lot of people from different departments coming and putting ideas together and it shaped us – the visual effects, the naming, the direction how exactly we will develop the game. When you are launching something that you’ve put all your energy into, it’s a nice feeling.”
