Betway’s new partnership with G2 Esports has been welcomed by the latter’s Carlos ‘Ocelote’ Rodriguez in a recent promotional video.
The release, titled ‘What are the Odds?’, sees Rodriguez race through a crowded city to witness his team compete in a tournament, utilising freerunning and parkour, a segway and a horse and carriage to help him on his way.
Since launching in 2015, G2 has become a prominent name in the esports space, featuring a range of players from across the world.
The duo will cooperate on new social media promotions, encouraging growth across multiple channels and working together to produce show matches, live streams, video content, fan activations and giveaway opportunities.
Commenting on the new agreement, Rodriguez said: “2021 is full of good news for the G2 army already. Betway has been around for a long while and has managed to stay relevant through great content and collaborations with key players.
“They’ve been nothing but great at ensuring we are able to showcase all G2 brand attributes in everything we do together, and I can guarantee we’ll have a lot of fun in these next few years.”
Betway maintains a strong presence in the esports space, in addition to horse racing, football and cricket, via agreements with organisations such as Brazilian groups FURIA and MIBR.
The online sports betting operator was identified as a ‘top three brand’ in the esports sector by Bob Lynch, Founder and President of Sponsor United, in May of this year, due to the firm’s efforts in establishing a foothold in the sport.
