This year’s Premier League is changing how gambling operators are allowed to interact with the most lucrative football league in the world. Gambling operators will now be banned from displaying their logos on the front-of-shirt space, instead forced to display them on the sleeve, on training kits or around the ground.

During the build up to this, much has been said on the potential financial windfall that could affect teams reliant on gambling sponsorship premiums, to compete. 

But while the Premier League braces for a loss in income, English football’s second tier is having a moment.
