Recognising the significant increase in the popularity of virtual sports during the pandemic, BetConstruct aims to enhance its product offering by utilising Xsens’ MoCap Technology.
Xsens software captures each move a human makes in order to create ‘smooth and seamless’ character animation, and has been used in major Hollywood productions.
BetConstruct intends to utilise Xsens MVN Animate Motion Capture System to provide high levels of realism, depicting human sporting activity, as well as offer its operators a ‘custom virtual sport development’ in short periods of time.
“We all know that creating high quality virtual sports takes a lot of time and energy from any software vendor, as the development process is expensive and many times even complicated,” said Armenuhi Khachatryan, Product Owner of Virtual Sports at BetConstruct.
“However, the end justifies the means and we want the players and operators both to have the best experience with the technology and enjoy realistic gameplay with the wide range of real betting markets, to create any type of Virtual Sports that will attract more and more players as fast as possible.”
The rise of virtual sports throughout the COVID-19 pandemic was a key topic of discussion at the SBC – Digital Italy conference in February.
Speaking at the event, Giuseppe Donato, Country Manager – Italy for Kiron Interactive, discussed the huge uptake of virtual sports in the Italian betting marketing, stating: “The viability of offering as an alternative to real life events in particular in difficult times, was demonstrated last year.
“However, there is so much more than this, with multiple virtual sports on offer to customers as an alternative to the real thing.”
