Barstool Sports has continued to put support behind rising UFC star Paddy ‘The Baddy’ Pimblett and the firm backed him on Saturday as he played a key part in the UFC’s dramatic return to London.
Like every British MMA fan, Barstool Chief Dave Portnoy and the full crew at Barstool gathered to watch the UFC’s London return at the O2 arena, and the second consecutive victory for Paddy with the leading MMA promotion.
Although the scrap lasted less than a round, Portnoy and Paddy’s fans went through the full spectrum of emotions as the passionate scouser was on the receiving end of a heavy shot in the fight’s opening moments.
Nonetheless, he turned it around and managed to get a submission victory, electrifying the O2 Arena crowd and the Barstool crew.
Furthermore, Portnoy hinted at another possible collaboration between Barstool and a UFC fighter, as he posted on Twitter ‘MOLLY WELCOME TO BARSTOOL SPORTS!’ after Molly McCann’s spinning elbow knockout victory.
Pimblett and McCann have become a much-loved duo amongst UK MMA fans, with the pair increasing their adoration on Saturday night – both securing stoppage victories and celebrating in the Octagon together.
