Hello and welcome to the SBC News 90, here with some not-to-be-missed panels from SBC’s Betting on Sports America Digital conference:

The Vision of the Future CEO panel examined how the sports betting market is developing in the US following the repeal of PASPA, discussing consumer habits, taxation and mobile.

On the long-term success of the market FOXBet CEO, Kip Levin said that the companies with the biggest market share 5-10 years from now will be those that invested the most in their products. Levin expects product innovation to be a defining factor once initial growth starts to settle down.

The panel also featured Rush Street’s Greg Carlin, Adam Greenblatt of BetMGM, Kambi’s Kristian Nylén and, from GAN, Dermot Smurfit.

A panel on Betting and Broadcasting discussed the relationship between wagering and media partnerships in the US.

Even Davis, of SeventySix Capital Sports Advisory, told delegates that broadcasters need to figure out how to market to those watching the game while accepting they cannot tailor the offer to all of those tuning in.

The panel touched on the criticism broadcasters may face in balancing network and commercial strategies to accommodate betting advertisers, as well as potential culture clashes.

The session was also joined by ESPN’s Doug Kezirian and VSin’s Ben Fawkes.

What is the market potential for sports betting? How can operators be a driving force? And how problematic is the illegal market? These are just some of the topics covered by a panel discussing operator strategies for success

Frank Fantini, CEO of Fantini Research said he expects a mature US sports betting market to be worth 12-13 billion dollars a year while igaming could turnover 18-20 billion dollars annually.

The panel also examined the future of online casino, the problem posed by illegal markets and the benefits of developing proprietary technology.

Fantini was joined by Delaware NorthsLuisa Woods, Art Manteris of Station Casinos and Truist Securities, Barry Jonas.

You can catch these panels on demand via SBC Connect and, in the coming weeks, on Gambling TV.

That’s all for today, I’ll be back tomorrow for your next SBC News 90.
