Moderated by Paul Buck (CEO & Co-Founder, EPIC Risk Management), ‘The value of lived experience in preventing harm in sports,’ panel discussion will explore the benefits of lived experience education programs for protecting all stakeholders in the sports ecosystem. The star-studded panel includes Clint Hangebrauck (MD of Enterprise Risk Management, NCAA), Meg Popovic (Performance Advisor, Leaders in Sport & former Director of Player Welfare and Performance, Toronto Maple Leafs), Jamilah Ali (Assistant Athletic Director, Long Island University), and Ryan Tatusko (EPIC Risk Management lived experience facilitator and former MLB baseball player with Texas Rangers and Washington Nationals).
The discussion on ‘Maintaining a sustainable player base through an effective player protection strategy of detection and targeted early intervention’ will be moderated by Paula Murphy (BDM, Mindway AI). This session will delve into the topic of responsible gambling and explore a comprehensive player protection strategy that not only aligns with ethical principles but also helps to retain players and manage resources more effectively. Expert speakers, including Paul Foster (CEO, Crucial Compliance), Rachel Gundy (Head of Product, Betr), Shelley White (CEO, Responsible Gambling Council), and Marlene Warner (CEO, Massachusetts Council on Gaming and Health), will share their insights and expertise on achieving a sustainable player base by identifying customers at risk of gambling-related harm and intervening early enough to help them regain control.
