It was a dramatic weekend of NFL action and it was all recapped in the DraftKings’ attest edition of the Ross Tucker Football Podcast.
Tucker was keen to praise the impact of having a second strong quarterback, a position he described as ‘not being important until it’s the most important position’.
Mike White was specifically highlighted for the New York Jets, as the team caused a huge upset against the in-form Cincinnati Bengals, who were priced at around one to five to capture victory.
He also lauded Cooper Rush, who helped the Cowboys to a major win on Sunday Night Football, allowing the Cowboys with the opportunity to rest Dak Prescott, and enhance their push for post-season honours.
Tucker underlined just how much he loves seeing the backup quarterback step into the spotlight and shine, adding that teams simply have to have a backup who they believe can step up and help them win the game.
Prior to giving a deeper dissection of the week’s clashes, including that dramatic victory for the otherwise faltering Jets, Tucker also lauded the NFL and the league’s efforts in terms of mental health.
He highlighted the importance of representation and with the league and its managers speaking candidly about the issue, he emphasised it can have a big impact in helping others speak out.
