What is being said?

Adam Candee: “Massachusetts went and did exactly what we thought they were going to do, they rejected sports betting right now. The senate ultimately opted not to adopt an amendment that would have put it into the current fiscal year budget.

“This is something that got backed up from the summer, overwhelmingly passed in the house but got tied up in the senate. The word that we hear is that coming around next spring into the new session probably a better chance of some sort of sports betting getting through in Massachusetts and when you look around at that market and see that New Hampshire, Rhode Island both have it legal, both have it mobile.

“Massachusetts is certainly a state that is missing out right now. The governor is interested in getting it done and has included some money in his budget for it. We hope that Massachusetts has a better chance next year.”
