Gala Bingo has announced the next chapter of its ‘Bingo like a Boss’ marketing campaign, launching its ‘Ice Queen’ advertisement.

The campaign introduces the new character of ‘sassy Ice Queen’ Frieda Balls, who ‘dominates the bingo scene’, and made its debut  on Tuesday 19 October during ITVBe’s 08:15 broadcast of Buying and Selling.

Gala Bingo has been coorading a high coverage advertising campaign to promote its brands across UK daytime TV programmes and digital TV broadcast platforms, of which ‘Bingo like a Boss’ is the main constituent.

James Kennedy, Brand Marketing Director, commented: “I think we all need to be a bit more like Frieda. She demonstrates how life’s tedious tasks can be made fabulous and how you can add a touch of glamour to even the most mundane of chores.

“The ads really showcase the exciting side of the Gala Bingo brand, and we hope the nation can find some time in their day to get glammed up and feel like a boss, just like Frieda.”

Last year, Entain, the parent company of Gala Bingo, ordered a review and update of the brand’s marketing to reconnect with UK bingo players.

Antidote, the London based creative marketing agency, developed the campaign after securing the contract valued at £13 million.

Additional advertising campaigns in Entain’s marketing arsenal include Ladbrokes’ football focused initiatives, beginning with the drummers commercial during the UEFA 2020 European Championship and in the build up to the Premier League, followed up by its ‘balloon keepy-uppy’ advert.

Gala Bingo enhances engagement with ‘Bingo like a Boss’ campaign
