Amir Mirzaee, Founder and Managing Director of Bayes Esports, praised the success of the firm’s recent partnership with Riot Games, as he caught up with SBC Media’s Erin Gallagher at the recent Betting On Sports Europe conference in London.
It’s a collaboration that gives the group a kickstart into 2022, which is set to be a major year for the company as it continues to grow its offering.
“The Riot partnership is our first game publisher partnership that we have established and they have really been pushing the envelope in terms of what esports data can be for us – a very integral, very central part of what we do and I’m absolutely honored and humbled that they’re extending the partnership with us a year ahead of schedule.
“For me, coming from a different industry and coming from Google, it was interesting to see how this industry was evolving. So we went from deciding how we collect the data, to how we can make it more useful to the ecosystem.”
He continued by underlining that a big focus of the company’s operations is now on supporting content rights holders with an effective data strategy, and how they make it more useful to the betting operators and stats providers of the sector.
Looking ahead, he revealed that the firm’s data spend is set to increase along with its workforce as part of a wider objective of aggressive commercial expansion.
