Since Sir Alex Ferguson’s departure, United have failed to find someone to lead Old Trafford, as the club approaches another season which sees them disregarded as contenders for the league title. 

The latest episode of 888sport’s The Eye Test saw the panel share their insight on who they believe is best equipped to take the reds back to the summit of English football. 

Exploring a pool of experienced and upcoming potential candidates for the gig, Erik ten Hag, Diego Simeone and Mauricio Pochettino all came into focus as being the next man to take United back. 

Jennings highlighted that Simeone’s credentials are far better than Pochettino, with the current Atletico manager being the outstanding candidate ahead of ten Hag or his fellow countryman.
