In one of the more dramatic and engaging activations from a sports betting firm, Ladbrokes gave an insight into the mindset and journey of Jason Quigley as he prepared for his massive clash with Demetrius Andrade.

The 45 minute feature documents the trials and tribulations of preparing for a world title clash, as well as the importance of family to Quigley, who was also preparing for a wedding at the time of the potentially career-defining bout.

Quigley speaks openly about his mental health battles, as he revealed he struggled to enjoy life when he was younger due to being plagued with anxiety – he also outlined his strength as he overcame a broken hand and torn tendon from the same bout.

The documentary also took a closer look at how the tight collaborative approach between Andy Lee and Quigley came to fruition, with Quigley underlining his admiration for his fellow Irishman.

Cementing his shot against Andrade, Quigley was an abundance of emotion as he was announced as the winner over Shane Moseley Jr, before he got on the mic and called on his future foe Andrade.

The documentary culminated in a dramatic fight night, as the show highlighted calm before the story in New Hampshire – with Quigley bidding to become the champion.

Although the toughness of Quigley shone through, the timing and accuracy of Andrade was too much as he overwhelmed the Irishman, who didn’t believe he got to show his worth in the fight.

Quigley later revealed his battle in the aftermath of the fight – as he battled back from two breaks in his jaw, after what he described as a ‘devastating’ defeat.

In the closing moments of the documentary, Quigley underlined that he still remains hungry to reach the pinnacle of the sport.
