The latest episode of 888sport’s ‘The Playlist’ show, debate raged over the greatest Premier League import, with Rory Jennings being the only panellist that didn’t pick Thiery Henry.

Jennings, an ardent Chelsea fan, backed Didier Drogba as being the league’s best overseas player- lauding the powerful striker who guided the Blues to their first Champions League title on a historic night in Munich.

The panel discussed the cultural impact of the players, with Jenning underlining the importance of the Champions League trophy coming to the capital for the first time.

The placing of ex-Chelsea man, who is currently building his legacy at Liverpool, Mohammed Salah,  was highlighted by AFTV’s Robbie Lyle  believing  the Egyptian has had two bites of the cherry, after previously not having success at Stamford Bridge – he also detailed that he has accumulated less Premier League titles than the other candidates.

There was universal praise for Gunner’s legend, Henry, who Lyle described as King, as he lauded the French forward for his style, grace and goals. Lyle also lamented the fact that Henry never picked up a Ballon D’or in his illustrious career, which was largely due to the form of Brazil’s Ronaldo Nozario.
