The BetVictor team reconveined for the mid season awards, as the panel dished out some unwanted awards, with Liverpool being cited as the biggest disappointment of the season.

Avid Liverpool fan Paul Machin claimed the only side who could come close in terms of how disappointing they are is Aston Villa.

Mental fatigue and turmoil behind the scenes at the club are two of the reasons cited by Machin as being key to a rocky start for Jurgen Klopp’s squad, who have become accustomed to battling for major honours in recent seasons.

Meanwhile, Buvey stated his belief that Chelsea are the biggest disappointment of the season, specifically with the money the club has spent in the transfer window, and how they replaced Thomas Tuchel with Graham Potter.

Machin also pointed to Liverpool’s Merseyside rivals, Everton, as being potentially the biggest disappointment of the season, with Frank Lampard’s tenure being one that may see the Toffees end their longstand Premier League status.

In terms of players, Adam McKola was adamant that Philippe Coutinho was the biggest flop, largely because of the lack of impact he has had, and how he was one of the key signings of former Manager, Steven Gerrard.

The name of Djed Spence also came up, as a player who has been a significant let down this campaign, having signed for big money but barely making a contribution to the Spurs side.
