Steven Salz, CEO and Co-Founder of Rivalry, discusses esports betting with Calvin Ayre’s Becky Liggero Fontana after a time when esports was one of the few things that punters could bet on during the COVID-19 lock down.
Salz reveals that Rivalry’s biggest markets are Latin America, which provides at least half the firm’s business. some European countries and the CIS region.
Salz also warned about brands throwing the towel in too early on esports betting. “The audience that’s been watching games and playing games hasn’t really deviated much in the last couple years, and you know all that’s happened is this generation now is really like in their first couple jobs, they have an income, they have some savings, they’re spending money on entertainment.
